I am trained in HipHop. That's the genre of dance I started with and have been doing for 20 years. With that said, I have a HUGE passion for Musical Theatre! Right now as I write this, a production I choreographed is performing and I couldn't be happier.

A tool that is TRULY for the Brain-Body Connection

"In 2019, I created Dance Nest, a movement training tool with a corresponding language called Dance Code which transcribes movement into written form." This is the first sentence of a document that I just copyrighted. These two components work together to train the body while giving dancers a new understanding of the space around them.

BHD: My Private Lessons

Not all private lessons are created equal. A private lesson at BeatHunter Dance is an entire lesson plan tailored to an individual dancer. That lesson plan develops what they need to reach their unique goals using my original choreography.

Can group classes be personalized too??

Yes! Even in a group class, BeatHunter Dance provides adjustment to each person. It would be foolish to think that any two people will grow in a skill in the exact same way and at the exact same speed... so I don't. No matter what dance skill is being taught, the individual's needs are considered when teaching.

My Original Curriculum

PKC stands for Personal Kinetic Curriculum. It's my original curriculum that I designed to train dancers in their personal style outside of a specific genre of Dance. It is the backbone of BeatHunter Dance.

The PKC Process

PKC is comprised of five cumulative steps:

Musicality - training in Body Control and sharpening Active Listening
Diversity - Applying Musicality by making personal choices to different music
Expression - Synchronizing the face and body to portray the emotion of any song
Freestyle - Applying Expression to show how you feel in your personal style
Choreography - A culmination of the previous four steps to create a piece of choreography in your personal style
