What is Low-Residency???
1. Defeating Distance.
Low-Residency programs are courses of study that are primarily online with a few required in-person sessions that can last from 1 to 4 weeks depending on the course.
2. Same Education. Different Format.
Low-Residency students take the exact same courses as On-Site students and BeatHunter Dance ensures that they have as much interaction as possible through a combination of video chat advising and pre-recorded feedback videos.
3. A Chance to Give Back.
During in-person sessions, students of the Dance Pedagogy program will practice their teaching theory on low-income students who are taking classes for free with supervision of their course professors.
The Art of Dance Instruction
Instructor Program
Skill in dance doesn't not equal to skill in instruction. To step into the life of a student and guide them through a journey of mastering their body and building artistic expression takes nothing short of intentional effort. This program will take you through an in-depth study of communication, leadership, and group management. This program is the baseline for all pedagogy students. Each student can then choose a focus of study.
