Audience In The Fog

The further you go, the more you will see them.

Humble Beginnings

When someone has people who follow them, support them, and point people in their direction, it is often viewed as success. The more people support them, the more success (have you ever questioned the fame or importance of someone with a verified social media account?). I've spoken about the danger of finding identity in the applause of others but that aside, what do you do when you feel as though no one is supporting your dream?

The Mindset

When you can tangibly feel the silence around you, remember: you already have a fan base.

There are no ifs, buts, or maybes. What you are doing has value and is needed by other people but when we start off building a dream, we are surrounded by a thick fog. It dulls the senses and makes us feel alone in our endeavors. Do NOT let that stop you!

One step after another you travel down the road. With each step you will see more and more people looking in from the outside. You will find them spreading the word about what you do and supporting your efforts themselves. Some of those fans will even join your team and start working with you.

Do not allow the feeling of loneliness to trick you into believing that no one will ever support. They are in your future, waiting for you to give them what they have been dreaming about themselves.
