Dance is an emotionally interactive sport. As much physical effort as it takes, it equally requires mental and emotional intelligence. Therefore, a dancer must maintain a balanced tension between three areas in life:
Building their physical prowess, sharpening their mental precision, and broadening their emotional capacity.
No two dancer express themselves physically, mentally, or emotionally the same so to work on these three areas is incredibly personal.
Take time alone to work on them. Don't allow anything to distract you from becoming more you.
