Chisel - Part 1

· dance,Teaching,perspective,studio

In dance, we are uncut stones. Our dance instructors are the chisels.

No grandiose sculpture is created in one sitting. Its creator shapes and evaluates the slab of rock he is turning into a master piece; a constant cycle of refinement.

Teachers. Do not allow your students to make a binary statement of whether they are a good or bad dancer. Encourage your students to embrace the process of dance.

They are slowly forming into a beautiful piece of art. Grace takes time. Art takes persistence.
