Express The Soul - Part 3

· dance,story,relatives,Expression,serve

When we are done looking inward and transforming our own emotion into movement. We must look outward.

My abuelo (grandfather) once told my brother and I about how he was rejected from the military because of his skin color. That night, I dedicated a freestyle video to him.

He recently lost our grandmother.

I cannot imagine what it is like to be married to a person for 70 years and then suddenly wake up one day knowing they have died. But what I can do is ask him. I can empathize with him and translate his emotion - his memories - into movement.

To illuminate someone's story through dance is an honor reserved for those who are strong enough to serve the world.

Live In Motion,
