I don't have my splits. Although it is not a high priority for me right now... I'd like to have them one day. I asked my friend (who is incredibly flexible) the other day what she thinks is the biggest thing that keeps people from getting their splits.
She said, "They give up. It's hard, but the people who stretch everyday are the people who get it."
Dance goals can only be obtained through consistency. Dance is a lifestyle, not a one-time action. It is a skill in itself to be consistent, but consistency is only hard when you're not being consistent.
Today is the best day to start.
