When I teach kids classes, I must be aware of where they are that day.

They have lives outside of dance which means they come in with different perspectives, thoughts, and emotions about everything! However, one thing levels the playing field...

"Who wants to play a game?..."

As soon as I say that, all their differences disappear. They start running, tagging, laughing, together.

We can draw dividing lines all kinds of ways in the dance world:

Serious vs. Recreational.

Professional vs Side Hustlers.

Novice vs. Skilled.

But when it comes down to it... We're all just a bunch of kids who want to have fun and dance.
